This would be killer for the UI

ctrl-z → move to the last edit and revert it ctrl-shift-z → move to the last edit and clear it ctrl-alt-z → revert the last edit but not move ctrl-alt-shift-z → clear the last edit but not move

and similarly for *-y and redo. Unless people have strong objections about ctrl-shift-z being used for redo.
