Hello.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set up soundflower: Soundflower (2ch) -> Built-In Output.
2. Change system default sound output device to Soundflower (2ch).
3. Plug in headphones, play some music, turn volume up.
4. Hear the music.
5. Unplug the headphones, mute the sound (using your Mac's media key, for
example).
6. Plug your headphones back.

What is the expected output?
Using the Mac's standard sound output, this procedure should lead to sound
playing in your headphones, because it keeps two different volume settings for
headphones and for internal speakers.

What do you see instead?
No sound playing in my headphones, because muting internal speakers also muted
my headphones.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Soundflowerbed v1.5.2 on Mac OS X 10.6.6 .

Please provide any additional information below.
This is quite annoying, as it's convenient to keep the computer muted for
internal speakers, while it still outputs sound if headphones are plugged in.

Regards,

David
