Dock bar column number to match desktop setting

I currently have my desktop column number set to 4, and the dockbar column 
count is set at 6. This reduces the icons in scale on the dockbar and makes 
them different than my setting of 4.

Can you make a preference where you can set the number of columns on the dock 
bar just like you do the desktop. That way I can set it to 4 and match my 
desktop columns width. Consequently if I can set it to 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 
whatever I desire.

Perhaps a preference to auto-match desktop column width as well

any news on when he is going to let us resize our scrollable dock bar like we 
can the action buttons? and/or user define the number of columsn on teh 
scrollabel dock bar?
