Excuse the title, I had no idea how to describe this issue.
I haven't directly been affected by this issue, but I'll attempt to report it nonetheless. When some players connect to Brawls, they are being disconnected from the server as it took too long for them to connect, except even after being disconnected, they remain online. I'll refer to this as a ghost state.
While in this ghost state, the player appears to be AFK at the server spawn point, but without their name tag. They still appear on tab, and they still count towards the online player count. As far as I've seen, the player remains in the ghost state until the server closes - even if they close Minecraft entirely, they remain online Brawls.
Apologies for the terrible explanation - I've attached a demo image below to help you understand. This issue has been tested (and persists) with Vanilla Minecraft, and the Islanders modpack.
I can help this player locate any relevant logs if it would help, let me know. It's somewhat difficult to explain a bug I haven't personally been affected by... 😅
