ThumbDV recovery from sleep? #30

It appears that after recovering from the Laptop being in 'sleep' mode, it loses track of the ThumbDV until removed and reinserted. I haven't verified whether the /dev file is still visibly.

I put some code in a while back to try to gracefully handle sleep/wake cycles, but apparently it doesn't look like it's working correctly. It should log every attempt to open the serial device and the output from it. Can you attach a dump of the appropriate lines from Console during the sleep/wake timeframe?

This is a HW issue fixed with board rev 5 2/16.
