Gary,
Do you mean the path to the AMBE codec or the input path for the audio?

The input path for the audio

Gotcha - I typically use Buster for monitoring and haven't had a QSO with it in a while. I'll double check if I have this same experience when I get home. I believe all of my macs now have the latest OS on them.

Thanks,
It does work fine for monitoring and on an old powerbook it work or both transmission and reception. I have been on vacation and away from my machine for 3 weeks so it happened rather recently.

It wouldn't surprise me if one of the recent OS upgrades change/broke something.

I may not have time tonight to look at things in detail, but I'll try to give a look this weekend and see what's up.
Confirming that input audio device drop down is blank and while it is possible to still select the PTT, no audio is sent from Buster. (Nothing sent to AMBE device either) Tried with bluetooth headset and built in microphone. The output device seems to be working, I could select either the internal speakers or the BT headset.
Tested on MBP 2016 and iMac 2011, running 10.13.5, with Buster V1.2 (1.2.0) I also confirmed the internal microphone was available and working on Quicktime (old and new versions)
Wondering if this is related to a permissions thing with Sandbox'd apps?
Kenny
Doesn't seem to be a permissions thing, but there is a BTRAudioHandler error being reported when Buster launches. (Error in audio converter: -50) I didn't dig any deeper tonight, but it sure seems like a foundation class change broke Buster.
Kenny
Kenny is smarter than he looks. It appears as though Apple is enforcing entitlements more strictly, and we need com.apple.security.device.microphone. It makes sense considering the privacy implications of something that wants mic access.
I'll see if I can package this up for submission this weekend.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day... ;-)
Thanks for making the fix! Kenny
Version 1.2.1 has been submitted to the App Store. It's in Apple's hands now.
Thanks for the update

Within the past few weeks, Buster is not able to specify the input path on MacOS preferences. I can still get to the RpI and use Buster from an older macintosh laptop. It seems to me that something apple did with a recent software update is responsible.
