question about daily elo ranking updates #268

Is in project's plans to update elo rankings daily? Would it be possible to provide daily results to your system?

Historical Elo Ratings are calculated weekly, no plans for daily tables, it would probably be too much. But you can see current (daily) Elo ratings of the players in tournament forecasts, with the number of Elo Rating points gained since the beginning of the tournament (in brackets). Also, on Player Path tab you can see full Elo Ratings progress from the start of the tournament.

thank you for the answer. In tournament fourecasts, it would also be helpfull to have tournament't surface elo rating (or/and recent elo ratings). By the way, is it possible to manually calculate (or give an estimation) for daily surface-specific elo rating using the current elo (since the beg of season) rating and weekly surface-specific elo rating?

Ok, maybe some selector can be added to select type of Elo rating to show in forecasts screens (btw you have surface Elo rating in Favorites tab now).

No, not possible. But you can blend Elo ratings always by calculating a mean rating (as getting probability from Elo rating involves exponential function, using simple arithmetic mean of two Elo ratings is perfectly fine, even you can add weights if you like).

Hi, all type of match Elo ratings in in-progress tournaments are now tracked as tournament goes and there is selector for Elo type from which one can choose: Overall, Recent, Surface, In / Out or Set Elo to be shown in tournament forecast pages. These 5 Elo ratings types are then used in match prediction (along with other factors), but with different weights (depending on surface).
