hi! I've been comparing MCEq spectra with CORSIKA7 spectra for my master thesis a lot. The newest version of CORSIKA7 supports SIBYLL2.3d, but not here in the DB file the SIBYLL tables only go up to SIBYLL2.3c. Is it possible to update to SIBYLL2.3d?

PS: I've seen multiple talks which had plots with spectra labeled with "MCEq SIBYLL2.3d". Is this mislabeled or a "private" version of MCEq?

@afedynitch can I ask for a short answer? I have the feeling, that I maybe overlooked something...

Hi @The-Ludwig , Sorry for the delayed reply. The difference for inclusive fluxes is very minor. The changes between SIBYLL 2.3c and d are only visible in air showers. There is a section on this in the paper .

We’re (+ @jncots) also comparing MCEq with Corsika at the moment. You should contact me by mail if you don’t want to post results here. Also, we have been comparing wit CORSIKA 7 and 8 for the last ICRC.

The 2.3d is the default in the upcoming version. Likely for ICRC, v1.5. It could be out earlier but I’m too busy to complete docs and some cleanup and more tests.
