A lot of code is open source. The requirements are sometimes higher, with more people looking over the code. It is art. People will see it. In a business, they can sometime try to hide their mistakes. But, you want to try and create good clean code, if you can, without slowing your ideas down.

You'll want to verify who you're working with... people will also want to know who you are.

[x] Add GPG key to git config. GPG Signature verification. Most public Git repos require GPG key.
[x] Enable 2 factor authentication for Github account. Instructions
[x] Read proper commit message. Good to follow, when the project gets moving with a lot of people.
[ ] iOS create test and submit PR. (I'll need to create example; but, for now, make sure gpg key is setup.)
[x] Review Fowler's refactoring
[x] See how git is used in other major projects here
