universal wont load run any rom #47

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run a version of snes9x
2. run rom
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
black screen and freezes

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
i've tried multiple versions even the newest build

Please provide any additional information below.
none of the versions run roms anymore, this makes me sad!

it must be a shared file they all use and it must be corrupt?

do they share some sort of preference file?

The preferences file is stored at $HOME/.snes9x/snes9x.xml
