Closing this issue b/c it seems irrelevant now, but Mel was trying to figure out if the door needed a label/marker like "no lipreading" or "voice off" (trouble: both these statements were not true, b/c she speaks anyway, and lipreads when Brittany isn't around).
So far the door is fine without a sign. This was a lot more relevant when there was zero terp presence on campus and Mel needed some way to train hearing colleagues to be conscious that LIPREADING COSTS ENERGY OH MY GOSH PLEASE MINIMIZE THANK YOU.
