@klaus1956 - for the first switch I know how this works on the Senec V3 - but for the second one I am currently clueless what field in the build in user-interface (webserver) would enable/disable this... During my private research I came across a second switch called 'li_storage_mode' - when enabled the system switch to 'LITHIUM SAFE MODE DONE' - but my observation is, that then still power from the battery is used...
So do you have any additional information about your observation - did you actually saw a 'Senec-Technican' enable ("Stop discharge") on your system?
When I experimented with these functions from the UI I observed strange behavior and later found that SENEC limited my battery to 70% - which is still status. I delay all further test until I am Bach to normal 100% operation
... it's not "only" your battery that's once more limited to 70% of the original capacity - we are all running in this mode since a couple of days - again...
But it's totally fine when you don't want to do any kind of experiments right now - just let me know, when there is a update...
Allow me to summarize my current understanding, why two different switches are wanted: When enable the 'Load Battery', then all available power from PV (can be 0) + additional required power from grid will be used to charge the battery to max capacity (currently just 70% - but obviously to 100% in normal conditions)... While the switch is turned on the power stored in battery will not be used - but of course if the battery is not fully changed the system will take the power from the grid to charge the battery.
The additional switch is wanted in the situation, that the battery is not at 100% but you still want to use grid power only... (more or less a "disconnect battery" switch)... As I said - During my research in the html & javascript sources I did not found any traces of such a functionality - but this actually does not mean anything.
In my last test the battery after being fully charged with that function did not return to battery operation - a full night of consumption was taken from the grid instead of the battery. I am still lacking the understanding of these functions
That's also my understanding of the 'Vollladung' Button in the SETUP-Wartungs Section - once you press/start it - it will fully charge the battery and once it's full the power will not be available to your home - all power is used from PV and GRID only... Till you press the 'Freigeben' button..
"this" functionality is already available in ha-senec-v3 - I know you have a v2.1 - I hope you understand, that I only can test v3 here @ home ;-)
With view to variable electricity prices it would be great to get 2 active control entities for the Senec power storage:
Both options seem to be available manually for Senec-Technicans
