Monster Hunter Portable 3 unable to download in game DLC #210

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Going to in game Download menu
2. will attempt to connect to home wifi
3. game will crash and psp shuts down once connection is established

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is a Download menu, instead game crashes and psp shutsdown

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
psp2000 running 6.39 pro v8

Please provide any additional information below.

ok found a solution, seems like my iso was double patched. funny it didn't 
happen with 5.50 prometheus

Easy solution: 

1. Go to Recovery Menu » Configuration
2. Set "Fake Region" to Japan
3. Start the game and it will work now

1) Use an unpatched ISO
2) Try to set your region to Japan (Fake Region in recovery menu)
