regulator for VBAT to supply rtc and backup RAM on vehicles with constant 12v
coin cell holder for vehicles without constant 12v

Does it make sense to use a pcb mounted LIR2430 with a recharge diode from the standby rail? that way even if the battery is removed backup tables, RTC etc can be stored for some time.

standby regulator selected is TPS70933DBV
