Codes / Compatibility / README ? #283

Hi!

The current (2021~22) Codecs archives contain a README.md file from 2017 that states:

This archive contains two precompiled DLL's for 7-Zip v17.00 or higher. ... /TR 2017-05-25

I couldn't find any other mention of compatibility constraints for the Codecs dlls with regard to the mainline release of 7-Zip.

Should the current codec dlls be compatible with any 7-Zip mainline release so far? Specifically: Can I use the latest https://github.com/mcmilk/7-Zip-zstd/releases/tag/v21.03-v1.5.0-R2 codecs together with 7-Zip 22.01?

Also: From the history here I see that the source, and master readme, was adapted to 7-Zip 22.01, but no new release Tag was created here?

There is no release for v22.01 currently - so there is no tag for it. The README.md of the codecs archiv is correct ... v17.00 or higher is supported by the DLL files... the cound of the files has changed a bit since then ;)
