Exclude geometry on linked elements 2024 error #1086

Confirmed in:

Rhino: 8.6.24069.02001 (Rhino 8) Revit: 2024.0 (24.0.4.427) CLR: 4.0.30319.42000 (4.8.9181.0)

To Replicate:

  1. in Revit 2022 open the rst_basic_sample_project.rvt and Link in the rac_basic_sample_project.rvt
  2. using a graphical element select a wall in the linked file and exclude like the image below.
  3. repeat in Revit 2024 to see the error.
  4. RevitAPI: Document is a linked file. Transactions can only be used in primary documents (projects or families.)

Not possible, workaround doesn't exist in 2024
