I think it would be effective to enable intersect to work more like Split. Split has a hierarchy so you can split one surface with many other surface as Rhino understands which it surfaces it is apply which surface operation to.
Intersect calculates all of the intersections on all the other intersections. It would be effective to say I want to intersect srf x with 500 srf y, without calculating the intersections between all 500 srf y.
