Like in AUTOCAD, Hatch should have the ability to be "associative" (hatch pattern is updated when its boundaries are modified) or by allowing to define/modify the boundary at the beginning.
I work a lot in 2D and I often need to modify hatches because of my model changes, and to do that, I have to redraw the whole hatch and reset the pattern and layer every time.
