I find that managing objects that are hidden in detail is a nightmare. Showing everything and then having to hide all but one of the items is painful for anymore than 12 objects. Could something like the layer manager be implemented for each detail view, maybe called the ObjectManagerInDetail. All hidden objects can be listed for the selected detail view (surely there is a list of hidden objects for each detail view kept somewhere in the Rhino file). Selecting an object on the list highlights it in the model and if you want it shown in that detail you can click a button on the manager pane.
Also, any objects that are copied should have their hidden in detail option set back to visible...or the option be given to keep hidden or show in detail.
