Backup Files - Different Icon Please #60

Open Piroshki opened 9 years ago

It used to be that Rhino Backup Files had a different icon than the regular files. I find it very confusing to search thru a directory and not be able to differentiate the files in any way, particularly when extensions are hidden by default. I am stuck having to swith to detail mode and look at the "file type" column. I liked it better before! Any chance this can get changed? I am running a plain vanilla, and very recent, install on a brand new computer so I haven't had time to mess things up yet... Running Windows 7 x64.

The icons are different, at least they're supposed to be. The 3dmbak icon is a faded version of the 3dm icon. If that's not what you see, can you please attach a screen shot?

Hi Brian - I remember well the faded icon I was used to in the past, but somehow its not showing. This machine is so new I can't imagine I had time to mess anything up...

Here is it in small "details" view.

Here it is in "Large Icon" view (same folder). The only difference is that the ".3dm" file is showing the preview, but I almost rarely use that view.

Note that I am using OneCloud, which explains the tick marks. I tried in standard folder and things look very much the same.

That definitely looks wrong. Do you have Rhino 5 SR10 installed?
