would this work with the latest version of both osmc and retropie, what os would i use for this and 3 could i use moonlight with this as well for steam gaming as well as this script that would auto set up retropie and moonlight https://github.com/TechWizTime/moonlight-retropie

Nobod can tell you that until he tries it. That script looks like a kind of alternative for Raspbian. But it might not work with osmc.

Better would be to use the retroamc and moonlight scripts specific to osmc. Please have a look at http://discourse.osmc.tv

i mean with slight changing it might work I'm not sure but i could test it out later...
