ENGLISH While the Doxastikon of the Beatitudes, or the Third Antiphon, is being sung, the Priest and Deacon, standing in front of the Holy Table, make three bows; then the Priest takes the holy Gospel and gives it to the Deacon, who kisses the Priest’s hand. And so they come out through the north door, preceded by lights, and make the Little Entrance. Standing in the middle of the Church they bow their heads.
