New Measure – F-measure #5

Hello again,

We have on last doubt regarding the last optional task. There, we are ask to implement a new metric to substitute the classic f-mesure.

For this week, we are not ask to perform the evaluation using the f-mesure. Hence, we should evaluate the previous tasks using f-mesure and compare with the new one or we should test this metric with the provided results in the week 1?

Hello,

The idea of task 6 is for you to implement this new metric and discuss a little is advantages and disadvantages with respect to other metrics such as F-measure or AUC. You do not need to re-evaluate all results using this metric but select, for instance, one of them, compute the new metric and discuss its difference with using it.

Hi all,

actually you do not need to implement the new measure but use the Matlab source code provided by the authors of the paper. You can get this software from their project page.
