Dinesh, please call me Siam. I am not familiar with making macOS bootable USB using the Linux system. But I used TransMac application in Windows 10. I will say TransMac is garbage software. Complete waste of time.

  1. First, install macOS in a virtual machine example VirtualBox.
  2. Then use that virtual macOS to make a Bootable USB.
md-siam commented 4 years ago

The process of making a bootable macOS USB is added to the documentation: https://github.com/md-siam/Hackintosh_EliteBook_Folio_9470m

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

Ok Siam. I made bootable in Window also. But got an error when that soft formatting Pendrive and after that, it's like bricked. I can't mount it. Now It's read-only. If you about this, how to fix this issue then lemme know. Well as you installed Mac on Elitebook Folio. How was your experience with that? I'm gonna install it for development purposes.

md-siam commented 4 years ago

macOS Mojave runs smoothly into Elitebook Folio.

md-siam commented 4 years ago

Making a vanilla bootable USB is very important for macOS installation. That's why I am suggesting you to use VirtualBox to make bootable USB. If you have access to an original mac then use that.

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

I don't have access to a mac. I'll make vanilla bootable by VirtualBox.Thanks for your help and be active on your YT channel. It's really helpful. Make new videos on this topic

md-siam commented 4 years ago

Dinesh, the Hackintosh community does not want to share their EFI files. Because it is really a time-consuming process to develop a perfect Hackintosh system. Since I am a software developer, I will say it worth the extra time. Mojave OS is really fast in Folio.

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

It's solved. Virtual box running fine. macOS also. I'm confused about two things. 1. The dmg file i downloaded from gekrar.com is corrupted. 2. How to do that Application Step in Virtual machine. Help me with it. And I have 8gigs Pendrive. is it sufficient for it?

md-siam commented 4 years ago

Can you run macOS from VirtualBox?

md-siam commented 4 years ago

md-siam commented 4 years ago

Upgrade your ElitBook BIOS to "68IBD Ver. F.73" otherwise that EFI folder is completely useless

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

Everything is completed bro. But unable to mount my usb edi partition in Clover. It's just showing internal efi for mount. There is no option to Mount external efi.

Download Clover Configurator from https://filetransfer.io/data-package/M4S4vx2Q use it to mount EFI of your Pendrive, and replace any EFI folder there. and replace it with my EFI.

md-siam commented 4 years ago

Yes, I am here.

md-siam commented 4 years ago

I made a small tutorial video: https://filetransfer.io/data-package/IbnPc9Wa

md-siam commented 4 years ago

Steps:

  1. Check whether you have mounted the USB Pendrive into the VirtualBox.
  2. If you made a successful bootable pendrive then you will see a file name "Install macOS Mojave" inside the pendrive.
  3. Start clover configurator to mount the "EFI" partition of the pendrive.
  4. Extract my EFI zip file, and copy the folder into that EFI partition.

Make sure that your "UEFI Native" Boot Mode is enabled in BIOS

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

Bro i watched your video. Everything is working. Usb mounted. Install macos Mojave also present in USB. But when i open clover there is not option for Install Macos Mojave efi to mount. And in Clover above that i can see my usb connected in clover.

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

Is there any other option to mount efi and Change it. Or can we change it on window by any other software

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/usb-install-stick-does-not-show-up-in-clover-configurator.294779/

I'm trying the solution on this. Hope it'll work.

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

I got that. The main problem is due to partition scheme. I format it to GUID partition and again made bootable then it mounted. There was no file in efi. So i pasted your efi folder in it. And when i booted. I got this in clover. There is no option for macos install. IMG_2020-08-01-12-46-03-171

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

Why there os no macos install option in Clover?

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

????

eldinesh commented 4 years ago

Everything done completely. Booted and working. But i have a question. Can i use internet via USB tethering coz I'm on Intel wifi card and internet not working. And one more, Laptop takes around 8 or 10 minute to boot macos.

md-siam commented 4 years ago
