This is not correct, drupalGet() does not use a leading /. Miro already fixed this for crm_core in https://github.com/md-systems/crm_core/commit/873856dc37180bb213ed380ca71869595fb17871.

Hm. l() doesn't exist anymore and that code looks like unported Drupal 7 code, so that doesn't make sense either.
