New feature: making the game more user-friendly #58

When we were asked to test the game, we rapidly came up to a conclusion: it is not easy, at first glance, to get the purpose of gamifying the discussion about what could go wrong with these tech-related transformations. To remedy this situation, I propose to add the following rule at the beginning of the game:

At the beginning of the game, the Card Czar explains the purpose of the game by reading an "introductive speech" :

"Welcome, thinkers, innovators, and futurists! You're about to embark on a journey into the unknown, the uncharted territories of artificial intelligence and large language models. In our hands, AI and LLMs hold the power to redefine the way we live, work, and interact. But with great power comes great responsibility. As we stand on the brink of this technological frontier, it's crucial to challenge and to anticipate the unforeseen consequences of our creations. Through this game, we'll explore the brightest possibilities and the darkest corners of AI and LLM development. Each card you draw, each scenario you debate, is a step towards understanding the profound impact these technologies could have on our world. Our goal? To spark conversation, to inspire thoughtful design, and to ensure that as we march forward, we do so with our eyes wide open to both the marvels and the pitfalls of our advancements. So, gather your wits, prepare your arguments, and let he game begin!"

How would the speech be communicated to the czar in the on-line and off-line versions? Can you design the speech handout or whatever for the off-line version?

This is a fantastic suggestion! A clear introduction explaining the game's purpose would help players engage from the start. I love the "introductive speech" you drafted – it sets a great tone and emphasizes the importance of exploring potential risks alongside the exciting possibilities of LLMs. This will get everyone thinking critically from the very beginning.

@mdbesten the speech would be written on a dedicated card (or in the game rules, if such a document is included in the off-line game). I can propose a design for the game rules.
