Add c++11 flags to constants.pyx (I believe this is what led to Travis CI failures)
Upstream fixes for suppressing debug statements
remove tmpfile (running into issues when using hypothesis for testing as too many files were being opened!)
Fixes for return value in case of ModelError status (found by hypothesis)
