Thanks for the review. I used shared because it's used in the next sentence and other places. Registered is also used but less often. Maybe we could use ‘registered’ everywhere (or at least in the next sentence)?

I don't mind this difference. I preferred "registered" because it's the name used by https://github.com/tc39/proposal-symbol-predicates (but that's unstable). Sometimes it may be awkward and "shared" conveys the semantics better.
