Bookmarks Toolbar Issue #8072

Closed wpdv closed 2 years ago

wpdv commented 2 years ago

Summary Recently, right-clicking on a bookmark in the 'extended list' of bookmarks (displayed when clicking on double arrow), no longer works correctly.

Steps To Reproduce (STR)

  1. On far right of the Bookmarks Toolbar, click on double-arrows to display drop-down menu of the 'extended-list' of these bookmarks
  2. Right-click on any of these bookmarks
  3. The contextual menu is not working correctly in all instances. Sometimes it open correctly, most times it flashes and disappears

Actual behavior When right clicking on one of the extended list bookmarks, the contextual menu many times does not open, just flashes and disappears, or opens the bookmark. When attempting to delete a bookmark, the contextual menu may open correctly and allow the user to delete to bookmark. In many cases, the menu does not open and the bookmark actually opens. Not the desired outcome.

Expected behavior Right click, contextual menu appears, user selects an action from contextual menu (ie; 'Delete Bookmark', etc)

Additional context In the attached screencast, you'll see that right-clicking on the visible bookmarks across the top of the toolbar work correctly. However, it's hit or miss when performing the same task on any bookmark in the 'extended-list' of bookmarks. As you can see, in the instances where it does not work correctly, the contextual menu flashes and disappears, or opens the bookmark.

Using Firefox Developer Edition 100.0b3 (64-bit). Mac OS 10.13.6
