There appears to be no official monochrome Firefox Browser logo, see: https://mozilla.design/firefox/#logos-usage
Never mind, found the official one color version of the Firefox Browser logo in this ZIP archive: https://mozilla.design/files/2019/10/Firefox-Browser-Logo-Assets.zip
That looks identical to the one I found online so must be where it's from! I think it would be good to swap to using it.
Summary
The logo used next to Firefox and Firefox for Android is the general Firefox brand logo, rather than the logo for the Firefox browser.
