What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Text in some newer Unicode blocks in unreadable (it shows squares or question
marks instedad of a text)
2.Even if the text do show proper signs the font constantly resets itself to
some default ("sans" in my case). To get readable text back you are forced to
change the font back every time which is very tiresome
4. Please make it possible to select a sign (or even a whole block of signs)
and paste the selected sign into the text (a character map of some sort to make
possible creating notes with less frequently used characters)
3.Btw would it be possible to change the background color for the whole page
instead of an active line? It would make reading and writing of a longer text
more eye friendly.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
To see readable text in scripts from the latest unicode ranges especially
5.0-5.2
Akkadian and Egyptian in my case
Check the fonts here
http://users.teilar.gr/~g1951d/ (akkadian)

You can test it here
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cuneiform_signs
or here
http://knp.prs.heacademy.ac.uk/cuneiformrevealed/textstoread/law14/

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.7.8 on Windows 7 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.
Thank you for a great soft :)
Please make it more unicode Friendly

I do the same experience the UTF-8 fr-FR isn't totally supported. "special
characters" can not be entered (e.g. : Ø œ ±) and using French dvorak
keyboard (pkl.exe) I have the same trouble. (here I can Ω, ŝ, ²³⁴⁷ the
dead keys are working)
