How closely do the space and ground stamps need to match? #1

When creating space and ground postage stamps of local groups do they need to have:

  1. the same pixel scale?
  2. the exact same RA, Dec extents?
  3. the same WCS-Images coordinate orientation (or is an associated WCS header sufficient)?

None of these things need to be same. This is the beauty of forward modeling!
