Based on my experience, the issue is because the Bluetooth range of the RPi is not that good. I bought an external USB Bluetooth adapter with antenna, and used that one to pair with the Madokas. It works way better, although sometimes it also suffers from disconnections and the RPI must be rebooted.
I thought that was the problem, in fact the thermostat that disconnects immediately is the one furthest away! I will try to buy it, what model of antenna did you buy? should something special be done to the raspberry to make it use the usb antenna? congratulations for the work you have done!
i created the bluetooth proxy with esp. removed the two thermostats and reconnected. now it's worse than before. if I try to integrate them together, not even one works, while if I connect the one on the floor below, it stays online for a few hours, and disappears, while the one above, if at least it connected before, and then went offline, now, it doesn't connect. does anyone have any suggestions?
Hi, I'm Italian, and I'm using google translate. I hope I can make myself understood. I have done all the steps. I have one thermostat for each floor, and I have them both paired with raspberry bluetooth. When I insert both thermostats, they are both added as entities, but one of them is immediately unavailable. also, if I leave both, the other becomes unavailable after a few hours as well. If, on the other hand, I only insert the one on the ground floor, everything works very well. Is there anything I can do to make both of them work??
