Adding a physical server doesn’t seem to work #300

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Steps to reproduce:
1. Adding a new physical server via entering IP and root password
2.
3.

Actual result: The given server name shows up, but doesn’t show any virtual
servers on the remote node. A click on synchronize renders an error: Some
servers could not be synchronized.

Expected result: Well, the error shouldn’t happen ;-).

Version of the product: 2.0

Server OS: Debian 5.0 AMD64

Browser: Chrome 11

Additional information: The dialogue to add a physical node shows a field for
an authorization key. How and where do I get this one?

/opt/ovz-web-panel/utils/hw-daemon/hw-daemon.ini

You just used it wrong, it works fine for me - wont work without the
authorization key.

Thanks for the hint. I copied the key from the hw-daemon.ini on the second
server and pasted it in the dialogue on the first server. Doesn’t work. Then
I added the IP adress from my first server to the hw-daemon.ini, same error.
What am I doing wrong?

Got it. I had to use the IP address of the network interface in the
hw-daemon.ini as address. Thanks.
