Since the original repo is no longer maintaned, it's time to update README.md

Todo:

Add a note about this being a fork, with links to the original repo and attribution to the original author
Update links to properly point to this fork (eg. in installation guide)
Remove obsolete stuff (eg. "WIP things")
General cleanup
