When using high ALP masses or low couplings and considering only conversion in the IGMF, the conversion probability should reproduce the attenuation-only case. However, for high energies >~ 1 TeV this is not the case. The predicted attenuation is lower than that from EBL models.
I'm investigating what the cause for this is (which might take some time) but in the meantime, you should be extremely careful when using mixing in the IGMF in the VHE domain.
