Jira fails to start after failed heap dump

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start Jira with javamelody
2. Click on Heap Dump on monitoring page
3. to fail heap dump make sure application can't write to /tmp
4. restart jira

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: JIRA should start
Instead: JIRA fails with attached error (hs_err_pid...)

What version of the product are you using? On what application server, JDK,
operating system?
jira-javamelody 1.41.0
JIRA
Linux

In my opinion, this hotspot error shows a bug in the Oracle JVM.
I suggest to try the same with a recent version of Java (1.6.0_u37 or 
1.7.0_u10) instead of 1.6.0_26.

And what could be changed in the code to work around this issue?
