It seems like P2P support in brcmfmac is currently broken for BCM43362, potentially due to bugs in the firmware. https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-wireless/msg137595.html describes a similar problem, but now the p2pon=1 workaround is completely broken too. (Fails with the same error)
