The company FORBO sells the belt we need:

https://www.forbo.com/movement/en-gl/

The Forcelink guy we met said that we could tell Forbo the treadmill model and they could give us the correct belt.

If we do this, we need to order by Jan 31, 2024 before the CAS P9 project closes.

I have send FORBO an email about purchasing a new belt with dimensions: 260cm, belt width: 113cm.

Forbo wants to send us a new belt, but asks for the exact belt length as they want to send the belt as stitched together (endless form, how they call it), so they ask if we can measuring it by letting the belt rotate 2 meters at the time and measure the rest. They also asked if it is even possible on this treadmill to mount the belt on the treadmill in endless form. If someone else in the lab cant do measure it this week, I will do it it next week.

We can measure it, but I don't know the answer to "They also asked if it is even possible on this treadmill to mount the belt on the treadmill in endless form. ". We can have a look and see if we can make an educated guess. Maybe Motek has to provide this answer, not sure.

pcvanderzalmtudelft commented 4 months ago

Alright, I dont know if Motek has the answer to that, as in previous contact they said that this is a model before Forcelink, from the company Bonte. But I am sure we can have a look to see if the belt is detachable by sliding it out or cutting the belt

Let's have a look at it. Maybe we can figure it out.

I have measured the belt of the treadmill and I have send them the correct measurements. I have also looked and talked to students of the bicycle lab and it looks like the belt can be mounted in endless form. Now waiting on the response of the company

The new belt is now in the lab. Lets have a look soon to mount it together

Fantastic. We'll have to plan a day to attempt to do this. I think we will have to figure out the construction and move first. We'll talk.
