Some issues that need solutions:

WhatsApp Image 2024-04-11 at 14 52 32 After looking around the lab I thought of using the metal stand in the photo as a battery charging station, using those letter organisers image

This also depends on the amount of plugs available which also depends on the renovation works

Here is an interesting homemade fireproof battery storage: https://youtu.be/cesnqh8H9D8?si=jOv_loHSlXy5azEz

I'm guessing we may be able to buy such a box also. For long term, it would be nice to have a good long term robust solution.

We installed that metal stand there at the most recent lab cleanup. The idea was to make a desk with shelving dedicated to electronics. So I'd like to leave that as is and used for the electronics station.

If the solution is an ikea cabinet with >=1.3 mm of plaster inside, I could make one with the following parts (just an indication after a quick search): -https://www.gamma.nl/assortiment/gamma-structuurpleister-wit-10-liter/p/B102960?store=%7Bstore_code%7D&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwoPOwBhAeEiwAJuXRh7hVBH3KaO1PYIfH1Emypuvs9I10hAcpQluRs1TBtXEdR-XoP87I4RoCKBQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds -https://www.ikea.com/nl/nl/p/eket-kast-met-deur-en-1-plank-donkergrijs-50344929/

Then the inside can be plastered and an organiser on the inside for the different batteries

Couple notes from yesterday's cheese for thought:

@pcvanderzalmtudelft I have approval to buy something to solve this. Alfred says "As this is related to safety, we should do it anyway. And if we do it, we should do it correctly. Please propose a solution and let discuss this with our HSE officer before implementation/ordering. Note you can also ask our lab coordinator to assist you (and possibly ask Sander Leeflang for advice)." So can you come up with a couple of solutions for this and the price for it so we can share the idea. Maybe propose the low cost one (some DIY) and higher cost (purchase as is).

I'd like to kill two birds with one stone: fire safety for batteries and timed battery top up system so batteries don't die.
