It'd be nice to have a custom lab logo. If anyone has some artistic skills and the lab name inspires them, post some sketches here for discussion.

Hi, my name is Richard. I'm a graphic designer and I love making contributions for open source projects. I see that they want a new logo for your application. If you wish, I can do it for you without any problem ... I can present some modern ideas that would improve the appearance and image of your project

@richardbmx You are welcome to contribute, but whatever you create must be licensed CC-BY and be in an open file format (SVG ideally). We are also not offering any payment of any kind. Note that this isn't a open software source project. It is my lab website.

I present two proposals for your logo, the first is based on a person who has a jetpack on his feet (for the aerospace relationship and helps people in his laboratory) the second design expresses the union of pieces through mechanized joints, making relationship to exoskeletons. both work very well in favicon versions ... I hope you like these designs if you want any change do not hesitate to ask

Impressive! Honestly, I didn't think you'd submit something.

Some comments. Definitely no acronyms. I'm generally against them.

Secondly, the jetpack has nothing to do with the lab. But the linkage does. That's pretty cool.

One other note is that I wanted the name to have a flavor similar to things you find in museums like this: http://www.marvin3m.com/ and also a wizardry feel, like Harry Potter titles and Lord of the Rings. I bit of mix of magic and mechanical engineering. Mostly to add some fun to the oft boring strictly mechanical engineering lingo titles.

I chose the abnormal lab name to invoke a feeling of fun, whimsy, intrigue about machines, humans, and motion. So if the logo can project that feeling too, that's ideal.

I do like the later logo as a starting idea. Maybe using a fantasy font would combine the two aspects I'm describing.

Also, before you spend lots of time on this. What are you getting out of this? Are you really going to donate your time and product for free? Is it just to get your name out there?

Perfect I will work on the changes and send you the models. You can check my profile on github and you can see that I have made many contributions of logos to different projects without any problem, it's something I like and I'm passionate about
