Mirror Effect: Arms can't reach similar lengths. #158

When people play using the Mirror modifier, they can usually not reach the last column of moles. This is because they usually have to reach inside their opposite "arm space" and they cannot reach as far out towards the extremities when they use the right arm in the left space. image

There are several ways we can acommodate for this: 1) We can move the motorspace closer towards the center, - right now we keep the motorspace 22 cm from the midline. In the October Pilot Experiment we moved the motorspace 5cm from the midline, to accommodate for peoples limited reach. 2) When we activate mirror mode, we can in addition add some Controller Offset - this will move inverted controller slightly more in the mirror direction, which will help people reach the extremeties.

I think the 2nd option would be good to experiment and adjust for.

When we ran the MSP experiment with mirror effect on/off, we found that these settings worked the best for the medium motorspace: Overall motorspace offset from midline: 0.12m (this will be the new default in whack-a-mole) Controller-offset: Apply 0.3m positive controller offset in mirror mode (this allows participants to reach all moles) Height: use 0.7m (the current default). we also tried 0.75m but is too high for some participants.
