API surface/interop #66

This is another big question that we need to answer relatively soon: what is the preferred way for existing systems to interop with Mediachain? We have our in-house case study with the indexer, which we have a fair amount of control over, but most existing installs will have relatively rigid integration parameters. Need to make this clear -- probably can be informed by the case studied.
