Seeing wikipedia immediately introduces the abbreviation; go for it, it was the second 'cta'-result for me.
It's jargon, but very common in the FE field. What's more interesting is the tendency to call any and all buttons 'CTA'.
Indeed, they are not the same... a CTA is often a button, but not all buttons are CTAs...
Call-to-action (CTA) buttons are the buttons you use in your website and on your landing pages to guide users towards your goal conversion. It's the part of the landing page that the user needs to click in order to take the action you want them to take.
I see many developers are using the abbreviation "Cta" (Call to action) in their code. Should we include this as a valid abbreviation in the Coding Standards?
