Building examples of what we consider non-spatial data in the marine sphere would be useful.

Multiple stakeholders noted that there are examples of non-spatial marine data that it would be useful to expose alongside spatial marine data.

Examples of such non-spatial marine data include: Laboratory or experimental results, non-geospatial social science data, mathematical model outputs, species traits, DNA sequences, histology data, documentation reports.

MEDIN formed a working group to take this forward.

Definition of non-spatial marine data as marine data that are independent of geographic location.
