Vim syntax color not working #23

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open any html, js, css, sh file and even with 'syntax on' in .vimrc it will
remain white on black

Asus transformer prime, Android 4 ICS

Also I would like to note that this device has a Ctrl key and there is no
option to assign that key to be Ctrl, I'm using the right alt key. That last
update had the option to swith the back key to escape, that was a cool feature
but it left me longing for the Ctrl key. If I need to create a new issue for
this problem please let me know. SVN would also be cool.

The same in all, except that I have no Ctrl issue.

Things got worse actually, ":previous" doesn't work, I can't paste across
buffer, can't yank more then one line (visual mode expected?). The added paste
function is cool for url's but there is only a 'Copy ALL lines' option which is
unusable. I love the idea of having Vi on Android, and I praise you guys for
making it work, but right now i'm SSH'ing into a laptop running Debian Squeeze
to make it work. No further trolling intended, the app is great.

Are you using VIM or VI ?

Syntax highlighting for HTML / SH should definitely work in vim..

I was using vi, expecting it to use .vimrc, like on Debian. It works like a
charm in vim, I feel stupid now. Thanks Spartacus. My issues have been solved.

Indeed, it was the same problem for me... All my plugins are working as in
standard vim.
