(Note: I've had classes where this never comes up, others where it comes up a couple of times and even a couple where it can be an ongoing problem) Important enhancements to empower classmates to protect their site from vandalism:
Make the history button for a view prominent AND when it opens up, make the log entries readable/plain language (give info student needs). This would make it so that classmates could discover who is moving node/s around in a disruptive fashion and they could then talk to that student.
In the log entries, if it is indicating that a "delete" was performed, make an "undo" button next to it to return the node to the view from which it was removed.
These changes will remove power from students who may want to sabotage the class' site and empower those who want to keep it useful.
