Sometimes I click once on a note and it opens. Other times I click once on the note and it just is selected. Sometimes I double click on a note and 2 windows open up. I think this all can be explained by whether the note is selected before these clicks and/or whether I click on the square red/blue icon or the text.
I agree that one needs to be able to click on an object and just move it w/out opening it, and that one needs to be able to click on an object and just view it. I think the visual cues that distinguish single/double clicking selecting/opening need to be further developed.
