When I have something to say, I want to just type it out. In the process, I'll better figure out what I want to say (writing is not just recording what is in one's mind but is actually thinking itself). Making categorizations/tagging (and also creating a title which is really a summary--see #8) placed at the top of the note-creation pop-up doesn't follow our typical top-to-bottom work-flow. Therefore...
Here's an example workflow--click 'create new contribution', have it a clean space where one types. Have a button to turn on the list of scaffolds (so as not to over-script) and the person selects the knowledge type of their contribution. The "Short summary" field is always visible at the bottom of the contribution box.
