Hi guys,

Im instaling Kali on my S5 neo Marshmallow Android .. and i am stuck with thing i cant resolve .. i know you may have this discusted in earlier issues but non of these could help me either ..

I have my phone rooted .. i have Bussyboy (free one) (tho i dont know why i need it and what does it do but nvm) i cant fix this problem:

[15:58:39] >>> start [15:58:39] Mounting partitions: [15:58:39] / ... mount: mounting /sdcard/linux.img on /data/local/mnt failed: No such file or directory [15:58:39] fail [15:58:39] <<< start

as a default settings in setting up the linuxdeply profile i left the instalation path default: ${EXTERNAL_STORAGE}/linux.img --- as you can see i want it to be instaled on my sd card .. (8 GB) but i cant get it to this point ..

Ive tried to formating it to ext2 (as ive read somewhere alse) by booting to my TWRP custom recovery, but my phone found it corrupted and I didnt feel like this is the way it is supposed to look like ..

If it is, does it meen i can have only the linux on the card and nothin alse ? or I didnt format it propperly ? Also I m super new to linux file system so .. go eazy on me :)

Thank you

Hey, I had this problem, and it turned out to be due to my ext4 partition. On Linux deploy, press "status" and post the results for me? You're going to need to change the default value for installation path. Cheers.

Cool, so first you're going to have to mount the ext4 partition you made. Head to this link and follow the tutorial ---> https://youtu.be/ewgV3Ty9Bnw. Ignore the title, its the error you would have recieved if you'd tried to mount with just Link2sd, apparently that app is having issues with marshmallow. Once that's done, press "status" again, you'll find that at the bottom there will be a new partition along the lines of /dev/bock/mmcblk1p2.... (ext4). This is a good sign. You'll also notice that a little further up there will be a new "available mount point" called /data/sdext2. This will be your instalation path.

Hopefully, that will sort the issue. Sadly, I'm certain you will run in to several others.

Cheers.
